“Discovering the griffins” (visitor center)

Come and discover all the secrets and habits of these giants of the air and what we do in the reserve to protect them! But we won’t just talk about these magnificent vultures, in fact we will meet all the animals housed in the Visitor Center and we will tell you their interesting stories.

Duration: 1 hour.

“Between heaven and earth on the wings of griffins” (visitor center and lake)

A journey to discover everything there is to know about the Cornino Lake Nature Reserve: from the majestic griffon vultures to the Tagliamento, from the animals of the Visitor Center to Lake Cornino. After the guided tour of about an hour in the Visitor Center area, you will continue on foot along the path around the lake, to discover its origins and peculiarities, as well as the flora and fauna that live in this luxuriant Reserve.

Duration: 2 hours

Cost: 9 € per person

Lago di Cornino

“His Majesty the Tagliamento, the King of the Alpine rivers” (visitor centre, lake and Tagliamento)

Why is the Tagliamento river called “King of Alpine rivers”? Why is the lake water so clear? These are just two of the many questions we will answer. We will talk about glaciers and the traces they leave behind, ancient lakes, waters that flow underground and the fauna and flora that populate the territories of the Reserve.

Duration: 2 hours

Cost: 9 € per person

Please note: suitable clothing is recommended for visits that include the Tagliamento and Lake Cornino (comfortable shoes for walking on dirt roads and a hat to protect yourself from the sun). The path is easy to follow but despite this it has some bumpy parts and a fairly steep climb so the route is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties, pushchairs and prams.
